Bill Alexander
Bill Alexander has been working in the renewable energy market since 2001, with a focus on project consulting and management. Known for bringing people and resources together to deliver the vision, Bill developed his skills and flexibility through his experiences in natural resource contracting and in the teaching profession.
After completing his Master’s degree in 1982, Bill started out as a research associate at U.C. Davis, building communication skills and research discipline. Working as a high school teacher fine-tuned his understanding of various learning styles and developed his ability to teach to and work with those styles.
In 1990, Bill combined his skill sets to launch BAF, a consulting business in the forestry industry. His work for clients in the natural resources arena honed his understanding of competitive markets and how to execute and complete large complex projects. While working in the forestry arena, Bill adopted Geographic Information Services (GIS) as a value-added product for his clients and continues to offer a geocentric approach to communication.
Bill worked on his first renewable energy wind project in 2001, serving as a member of the development team that successfully completed the project in 2003. His involvement in two additional wind projects saw his duties grow to compliance representative and construction oversight. In 2010, Bill worked as the full construction owner’s representative on a 45 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar project, completed in 2011. Next, he served as the construction owner’s representative on a 250 MW PV solar project, completed in 2013.
Bill’s collaborative style and natural resources expertise offer clients the teamwork and leadership needed to support and deliver their vision in the field.
